A fire toad is a medium, red toad about four feet long and covered with rough, purple warts.
A firetoad can exhale a small fireball when threatened, disturbed, or defending its lair.
The fire toad normally is found on the Elemental Plane of Fire but can be found in the Underdark or dungeon areas.
The Eye of Flame
A beholder, sometimes called a sphere of many eyes or eye tyrant is a large aberration normally found in the Underdark. These large, orb-shaped beings have ten eyestalks and one central eye, each containing powerful magic. Powerful and intelligent, beholders are among the greatest threats to the world. Beholders are immediately identifiable, essentially a floating head with one single, cyclops-like eye surrounded by ten smaller eye stalks. Other than this, the main feature of a beholder’s anatomy is its massive, gaping maw. Because of these features, beholders are occasionally known as “spheres of many eyes” or “eye tyrants,“ although the latter also refers to a specific type of beholder.
The Eye of Flame beholderkin is from the Elemental Plane of Fire, its spells are all connected to flame, they are large in size, more of slit like eye and red in color. An unusually docile form of beholder whose members, while still malevolent, are willing to serve beneath more powerful beholders.
Xenophobic yet vicious creatures, beholders are quick to attack enemies, including anyone they deem not “like themselves.” Beholders, as a rule, are violent and greedy, hungering for both wealth and power over others. This is made all the more complicated since more than one variety of beholder exists, each believing itself to be the pinnacle of bodily perfection and they view other beholders who differ from this image in even the most minute details as loathsome enemies and inferiors.
The pyrolisk is a magical beast that is very similar in appearance and physical strength to the cockatrice. Their differences lie in the pyrolisk’s red tail feathers and special abilities.
While the cockatrice is often cited as having a stoning touch or gaze, pyrolisks rely on their own special gaze which causes any who meet it to burst into flame, along with any nearby source of fire. Pyrolisks themselves are immune to all sources of fire. Unlike the cockatrice, which has an animal intelligence and is considered to be of neutral alignment, the pyrolisk has a somewhat increased intelligence, and is a neutral evil creature. While it normally detests all creatures, its mortal enemy is the phoenix.

Inferno spiders are deadly large predators native to the Plane of Fire. These elemental arachnids are composed of living magma encased in a semi-cooled basalt shell with long, spindly legs. Liquid fire drips from their vicious fangs, and their eight eyes burn like hot coals. Building burning webs or skimming across the molten landscape like gigantic water striders, inferno spiders are apex predators feared by the plane’s weaker natives.
Inferno spiders possess near-human intelligence and seek out powerful masters to serve, increasing their chances of survival. They have a web of fire, poison and can create a shield of fire for protection.
Although as outsiders inferno spiders do not require food to survive, they nonetheless feel a constant hunger to stoke their internal fires. Inferno spiders can survive indefinitely without food, but they become increasingly feral and maddened the longer they go without eating.
Inferno spiders can live forever if not killed, growing ever larger, but after several decades they begin to feel the need to mate. Inferno spiders are neither male nor female, and reproduce in a singularly strange fashion: two courting inferno spiders fall into a ritualistic dance in which they circle each other for days, their legs intertwined as they feel each other out. At the end of the ritual, they charge each other, whereupon they collide and explode, giving birth to hundreds of tiny young. Newborn inferno spiders are highly vulnerable and are eaten voraciously by other predators (and each other), but enough always survive to adulthood.
Genasi were human-derived planetouched infused with the power of the elemental planes, most often as the result of crossbreeding between humans and the powerful genie races or other elementals that dwell in such planes,. Physically powerful and cunning, genasi were a varied race with abilities that varied depending on their lineage and individual experience. Genasi were in a constant state of elemental energy, having no “neutral” state they could fall back on. Each genasi had a native elemental state, known as a “manifestation,” which was passed down to them through their ancestry. Genasi had a number of special abilities granted to them by their elemental heritage. As a rule, Genasi tended to be both stronger and smarter than most other humanoid races, traits which served them well. However, other abilities varied depending on a genasi’s elemental manifestation, although some genasi learned to manifest more than one element at a time or to enhance their natural elemental abilities. Genasi as a culture, likely due to the inherently chaotic nature of their psyche and bodies alike, have a strong affinity for change and chaos. Many genasi philosophers, recognizing now with the arrival of Abeiran genasi that all of the race have the same origin in crossbreeding, believe that their race was originally created as a compromise between the chaos of the primordials and the divinely crafted world of the gods.
Fire gensai are known as firesouls they have red or flame orange hair, red or bronze skin. The fire gensai are common on the Elemental Plane of Fire but can be found in the warmer regions of Esperia. They are common as fighter, rogues or sorcerers as a class and worship the god Kossuth.
Fire Elemental Weird
The Elements are known as one of the many primal sources of magic. Mortal mages and even beings of the outer planes draw on the energies of the Inner Planes to fuel their magic, but elemental weirds, as beings of the elements themselves, surpass them all at drawing on raw elemental power. For an elemental to become an elemental weird is to drink deep from the wellspring of magic, soar on the winds of fate, cast sorceries as the roots of the mountains, and burn with the fires of power, fully seizing their birthright as elementals. Those elementals and genasi who walk this path gain a terrifying mastery of the magics of the elements.
Elemental weirds are sometimes called the archons of the elements but they not really celestial but instead advanced elementals that can cast spells and use weapons and armor.
The fire elemental weirds are medium sized humanoids beings of fire that wield swords and wear armor. They can rarely found on Esperia but more common on the Elemental Plane of Fire. Like other creatures of fire they worship the god Kossuth.
The jann (singular janni) are the weakest of the genies. Jann are formed out of all four elements and must therefore spend most of their time on the Esperia. Some lore even casts the janni as the most “human” of the genie races, although most jann are quick to correct this insult, usually with the edge of a sword.
Jann are physically strong and courageous, and do not take kindly to insult or injury. Most are quite prone to seeing insult even when none is intended by the speaker. If overwhelmed in battle, they escape using flight and invisibility, returning later with reinforcements.
Jann enjoy their privacy, preferring the solitude of the deep desert and isolated oases. They are usually suspicious of humans, but are often willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Jann have a strong cultural tradition of hospitality, and will never turn away someone in need of food, water, or shelter, though they might expect payment in the form of a favor at some later date.
Among the other genie races, jann generally have good relations with both djinn and shaitans. While not actively enemies, jann dislike the proud and aloof marids. Jann have a distinct aversion to the efreet, who often try to enslave them or conscript them into their armies.
Conflagration ooze looks like a mass of liquid flame, barely held together by a transparent membrane. The fire that roars within it breaks through the protective outer skin on occasion, and the creature radiates an intense heat.
Confl agration oozes, unlike the majority of their ooze counterparts, are not mindless eaters. They possess a reasonable degree of intellect, allowing them to formulate tactics and basic strategy. One typically claims a series of caverns near a volcano or hot springs as a lair. It spends most of its time hunting, like other oozes, as it requires a great deal of energy to fuel the massive inferno raging within.
A conflagration ooze begins a battle with its spell-like abilities, hoping to immobilize some of its opponents before engaging in melee. Once it closes in, it attempts to grapple its foes and infuse them with the fiery toxin that surges through its body.
Conflagration ooze are normally found in the Elemental Plane of Fire or the Outer Planes.
The Elemental Plane of Fire is home to many strange creatures, including the fearsome legions of the salamanders. These serpentine beings dwell in metal cities glowing with supernatural heat.
Salamanders reproduce asexually, each producing a single larva every ten years and incubating the young in fire pits until they reach maturity. Flamebrothers and average salamanders are actually different species, while nobles rise from the ranks of the average.
Salamanders speak Ignan. Some average salamanders and all nobles also speak Common.
The flamebrothers are the lowest class and the front ranks of salamander armies. Average salamanders are the middle class and the main fighting force, while noble salamanders are commanders. Salamander nations do their best to resist the mighty elemental lords on their plane, and they disdain the azers, efreet, and other inhabitants. They often fail, though, and are enslaved by other fiery masters or conscripted into elemental armies.
Noble salamanders are large in size and like other fiery beasts they worship Kossuth.
A rast has an odd appearance. There is a central body, about the size of a large dog, with a number of spindly spider’s legs coming out of it. Each of these legs is tipped with a claw. The head is almost exactly the same size as the central body, and resembles a dog. The central body and legs of the Rast are red/brown, while the head and claws are rust red.
The rast attacks with a paralyzing gaze. When fighting a group, it tries to paralyze as many as possible. If there are any left, it moves in and attacks with its claws. For some reason, it can only use four of the 10 – 15 claws at once. It can also bite, grab and grapple, and drain blood from its opponents. Due to limited information, little else is known about the creature.
